Hole Drill EDM uses an electrode tube to drill extremely small precision holes on an electrically conductive work piece at a very high speed. With a five-axis configuration, the hole drill machine can drill holes at any angle on an inclined surface work piece. This technology is widely used in many industries, including aerospace, energy, automotive, medical, mold and die.
Wire EDM machines have been around since the 1960s. Technological advancements have made this non-traditional machining method preferable for complex shapes, intricate contours or cavities, and hardened metals. Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) are used to measure the geometry of physical objects by sensing discrete points on the surface of the object with a probe.
Sinker EDM consists of an electrically charged three-dimensional electrode with the work piece submerged in an insulating fluid, which are connect to a power supply. A series of rapidly recurring current discharges erodes the metal to the desired shape. Widely used in mold making, Sinker EDM offers high speed, high accuracy and low electrode wear, as well as very fine finishes.
